In the training centers of the Serbian Army in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac, the basic training of soldiers who started their military service in early December is now underway.

This is the first phase of training, lasting a month and a half, which is identical for soldiers of all specialties. During this time, soldiers are trained in the use of personal weapons, the correct execution of tactical actions in attack and defense, and the performance of duties of internal service bodies.

In this phase, young soldiers learn tactical and form training, weapons with shooting instruction, Rules of Service of the Serbian Army and physical training. The focus is on the practical training of individual tactical actions and procedures on the battlefield and the shooting from infantry weapons.

In the continuation of their military service, soldiers are expected to be tested for their ability to perform individual tasks, and then transferred to specialist training centers, where they will be trained for their military specialties, the Ministry of Defense announced.

Soldiers of the "December 2022" class are extremely motivated to fully master the contents of the training, which is confirmed by the results so far in the realization of all tasks. Many of them will become professional soldiers of the Serbian Army, for which they can apply while still serving their military service, the Ministry said.
