First barricade in Kosovo and Metohija removed
The barricade at Merdare, which was set up by a group of citizens in support of the arrested Serbs, was removed at 10 am today after their release yesterday.
Other barricades can be expected to be removed, too.
Yesterday, after the meeting between the president of Serbia with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, a decision was made to remove the barricades.
President Vucic, after talking with Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, stated that they had a conversation that was anything but easy.
"Starting tomorrow before noon, the removal of the barricades will begin, it cannot be done in two hours, whether (it will be done) in 24 or 48 hours, the barricades will be removed, but the distrust has not been removed. Those who think they can play with the lives of Serbs and their survival should know that, as we have not allowed it until now, all of us together, especially you, we will not allow it in the future either," said Vucic.
"We have to talk and try to restore trust. We have seen better than ever organized resistance of the Serb people," said Vucic, who considers yesterday to have been a good day for our people.
He said that they had difficult conversations, but that they were very frank.
