Slovenia plans to increase the number of soldiers deployed in the KFOR mission in Kosovo and Metohija, said Slovenian Defense Minister Marjan Sarec, who visited the troops and spoke with KFOR commander, Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia.

The situation in Kosovo would be very difficult without the presence of KFOR, and the Ministry examined the possibilities of increasing Slovenia's participation in the mission, STA reported him as saying.

Sarec said that it is difficult to talk about exact numbers because 5 percent of Slovenian active troops are currently stationed abroad, including 91 in Kosovo and Metohija.
