Ukrainian calls out Serbs, insults Troicki and Tipsarevic, they respond in kind
Stakhovsky tried some low blows towards our tennis players, but they responded well
The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for more than nine months, many world stars have taken their sides, while former tennis player Sergei Stakhovsky had a fresh outburst, posting correspondence with Serbian tennis players Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic on Twitter.
Stakhovsky published both conversations on his Twitter account, where he pointed out that this was about "Serbian opinion" - although he targeted both tennis players because of their visit to Russia. The Serbian tennis players did not hold back for a moment, they had proper responses, including calling him a clown and an "Instagram freedom fighter."
Strakhovsky wrote to our Viktor Troicki to say he was disappointed to see him in Russia, and Troicki reacted quite harshly.
"To be in the land of my ancestors is priceless. You're an Instagram clown who mixes sports and politics. This has nothing to do with the war, but since you mention it, me and my country went through all that crap and never got any support. Please shut up," Trooicki wrote in response, referring to NATO's 1999 attack on Serbia.
Stakhovsky wrote a similar message to Janko Tipsarevic, and got a similar response.
"Really? What is Mr. Freedom Fighter saying. Did you and your f***ing family boycott or protest when NATO bombed my country, family and people 20 years ago," Tipsarevic asked him.
