Another Russian IT giant opening R&D center in Serbia: Jobs for more than 800 engineers
Brnabic said that the Government of Serbia is open to cooperation
After Luxoft, the global IT company Yandex announced the opening of a development center in Serbia. It will employ more than 800 engineers, who will work on most modern IT solutions, the Government of Serbia has announced.
At the meeting between Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and the Yandex delegation led by the head of the Department for International Policy Maksim Kozlov, it was agreed to continue talks and improve cooperation in the field of education, given that this company, in addition to creating software, also works on IT education.
Brnabic said that the Government of Serbia is open to cooperation and is ready to provide help and support to global IT companies that open research centers in our country and employ IT experts from all over the world.
"After the opening of the development center and representative office of the global company Luxoft, the announcement of the opening of the Yandex development center and the employment of international IT experts represents a strong boost for our economic growth and creation of additional value," said the prime minister.
