Serbian handball player accuses Slovenia of spying: "They set up phones in the arena, filmed us in training"
The Serbian women lost any chance of advancing to the next level of the competition after losing to the Slovenian team
The women's handball team of Serbia ended its participation at the European Championship held in Slovenia by losing the game against the home team, which came after defeats against Sweden and Denmark.
However, something else bothered our girls besides the results fiasco, and that, as Jelena Lavko said after the match with the Slovenians, was the home team spying on them during training sessions.
Lavko said that the Slovenia camp set up phones and iPads and thus recorded out team's tactics before the match.
"This was a difficult game against the hosts and it is always difficult to play against the hosts. I'm sorry because until now we had a score of 3-0 playing against Slovenia in major competitions. I'm even more sorry when the opposing team records training sessions, where there are no cameras, but use phones and iPads to record us because they are afraid whether they will beat us with the four backs we have in total, so what's the use of talking about handball and sports," said a visibly disappointed Lavko.
