Vucic speaks after Serbia gets new government: I expect interests of Serbia to be your only goal

President Aleksandar Vucic reacted after the election of the new Government of Serbia last night.

"In these difficult and unstable times, Serbia needs a government that will know how to preserve peace, continue economic progress and defend the independence and the freedom-loving spirit of our country. I expect that the interests of Serbia and our people be your only goal, and that work, knowledge and honor always lead you to its realization. I wish you much success on your journey. Long live Serbia," Vucic wrote on his Instagram account.

Vucic attended the ceremony in the National Assembly when members of the new Government of the Republic of Serbia took the oath.

Members of the Assembly voted in favor of electing the new cabinet last night after a two-day debate.

Deputies voted on the election of the new government by public roll call. 225 deputies attended the vote, 157 supported the new government, 68 were against, and there were no abstainees.
