We learn: Warrant issued for mother who brutally beat 3-year-old, video of the violence shocked Serbia
The children have been taken away
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a mother who, judging by a video that has been published online, brutally battered a girl, 3, Telegraf has learned.
Two minors were found in an apartment in Grocka where the abuse took place, and they were handed over to the appropriate social welfare institution.
An extremely disturbing video of the violence against the toddler appeared yesterday on social networks.
Namely, the footage shows the mother hit the girl on the head while holding her hands so that the child could not defend herself.
The girl cries all the time and, it seems, can hardly catch her breath while the mother shouts at her, hitting her throughout the recording and repeating, "Our little Zoran is in prison because of you, because of you."
Finally, after the countless blows to the head, she pushes the girl away and the child drops to the floor. The mother didn't stop there, but told the girl in a threatening tone that she wasn't done with her.
"I'm going to beat you all day long," shouted the woman.
Telegraf has had access to the video, but it shows such brutal and explicit violence against a child that we have decided not to publish it.
Locals in Grocka told reporters that they would often see this women and her children begging in the street.
The Second Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, immediately after learning about the video, convened an extraordinary meeting of the Coordination and Cooperation Group for the Belgrade Municipality of Grocka and, in cooperation with the Center for Social Welfare and the police station of Grocka, immediately took all measures in order to determine all the circumstances related to the event in question and protect a minor.
