President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that he is hoping for an agreement when it comes to the war in Ukraine, but does not see it, and so fears that things can only get worse.

"I'm afraid it will only get worse. The problem is that no one wants a compromise, only the defeat of the other side. Until things become clearer, and they won't become clearer soon, I'm afraid that we will have a difficult conflict and an increasingly difficult situation," said Vucic when asked by journalists whether he believes there will be an agreement, come kind of a ceasefire in Ukraine.

He stated that there are still five months and six days left until the end of winter, and that every day that passes is important.

Vucic added that the heating season (in Serbia) will start in a few days, adding ironically that he is waiting for someone to show up wearing a t-shirt today, when it's 25 degrees Celsius outside, and protest because there is no heating in buildings yet.
