Vucic visits the Sopocani monastery: I am happy that we built a road to this shrine

The tour of Raska and Moravica districts began with a visit to one of our most important shrines

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic visited today, during the opening of the reconstructed, 20.5-kilometer road from Novi Pazar to Tutin, one of Serbia's most important holy places, the Orthodox Monastery of Sopocani, built in the 13th century.

"With a visit to one of our greatest shrines, I begin my tour of Raska and Moravica districts," the president wrote on Instagram and added:

"I am happy that we managed to correct our disgrace and build a road leading to Sopocani, in order to facilitate access to this holy place not only to the locals, but also to all other visitors."
