Golija is wild, unbridled and beautiful: "A female mountain that looks down at her brothers"
The mountain near Ivanjica is located in the area of five municipalities and is surrounded by five "male" mountains
About 40 kilometers from Ivanjica, 32 kilometers from Novi Pazar, is Golija, one of the most wood-rich mountains in Serbia.
Fans of winter sports find it attractive in a different way than Kopaonik, Zlatibor or Stara Mountain.
Namely, Golija is not completely defined by tourism, but nature lovers will find everything they need for a real vacation on this mountain.
It is referred to as "a female mountain" since other mountains in its vicinity have male names (in Serbian) - Kopaonik, Zlatar, Mucanj, Jadovnik and Javor.
Those in love with Golija say that this wild, unbridled and beautiful mountain "looks down at her brothers."
In addition to being ideal for winter sports, Golija is also an excellent choice for spring, summer and fall vacations. Long walks, cycling, hiking or - for those who are not in shape - getting to know its beauty during an "SUV safari tour" will surely be remembered for a long time.
