Sveclja: The North is ours, we have three police bases, we are building another

Sveclja said that Kosovo is committed to law and order in the North

Pristina Interior Minister Dzeljal Sveclja said that the Kosovo government is determined to "preserve order and peace" in the north and confirmed that the Kosovo police has three bases in the North, while another one is under construction, write Reporteri.

"Now the situation is different. In the North, we have Kosovo police stationed 24 hours a day, we built four border police bases for quick interventions, we built three border police stations in the green zone, we extended the signal for Ipko and Valja," said Sveclja.

He said that efforts to ensure the conditions for police work in the north of Kosovo will continue in the future.

"Three police bases have already been completed, one is under construction. We will continue on this path, in order to enable the Kosovo police to operate not only safely, but also with the necessary comfort in that territory to guarantee order and peace in that area as well," Sveclja continued.

He stressed that there is a new unit for rapid border interventions in the North, which was recently established.

"We also have a new unit, an intervention unit that is extremely prepared. It is a unit that used to be part of other units," said he.

Sveclja said that Kosovo is committed to law and order in the North and, as he pointed out, it has the support of its allies.

"We are determined to restore law and order in the North. The North is part of Kosovo, it is our land. We also have the support of our allies, who guarantee security with their presence there," said Sveclja.
