Man United legend arrives in Belgrade: He will be Partizan FC's special guest during Serbia's biggest derby
The former French national team member visited Partizan headquarters ahead of the biggest event in Serbian club football
Partizan FC today hosted former Manchester United and France player Mikael Silvestre, the club has announced.
Silvestre was welcomed by Partizan general manager Milos Vazura, deputy general manager Milorad Nikolic and member of the Board of Directors Goran Pandurovic - who was once a teammate of the French ace, when they played for Rennes.
Silvestre, a defender, played for Inter, Manchester United, Arsenal and Werder, and is now a football agent. He expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to watch the Eternal Derby (Belgrade Derby), set to be played between Partizan and Red Star this evening, for the first time live at the stadium.
The biggest Serbian clubs will clash for the 168th time. Partizan is the host, with the match starting at 8 pm. It will be one of the games of the 9th match day of this season's Serbian SuperLiga.
Mikael Silvestre played 40 games for the French national team and scored two goals.
