US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has called on Serbia to allow the holding of EuroPride in Belgrade.

Anthony Blinken wrote on Twitter that, "freedoms of peaceful assembly and expression are essential components of a healthy democracy."
"We urge Serbia to renew its commitment to hosting EuroPride 2022. LGBTQI+ rights are human rights," wrote Blinken.
EuroPride was supposed to be held from September 12 to 18 in Belgrade, but Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that it will be postponed or canceled, while the Government of Serbia said that at the moment, there are no conditions for the event to be held safely.
