The first case of monkeypox has been registered in the Macva District, the Public Health Institute in Sabac has confirmed.
A man from Sabac, who is said to be over 50 years old, fell ill, and the infection was imported and confirmed after he returned from vacation.
The Institute of Public Health in Sabac stressed that the contacts of the patient are being monitored, and given that a person is not contagious during the incubation period, it is not necessary for them to be quarantined, instead only active epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
As we have found out, the man returned from Greece.
