The Dveri deputy group in the Belgrade City Assembly submitted a request to include the item on the agenda regarding the cancellation of EuroPride, which is scheduled for September this year.

The head of the group, Radmila Vasic, told journalists before the session that they are also seeking the consent of all councilors to form a working body within the City Assembly, which would investigate all allegations regarding the organization of EuroPride.

"For our deputy group, holding such an event is unacceptable," said Vasic.

She repeated that the reasons for which they are asking for EuroPride to be canceled primarily regard safety, as Serbia records 7,000 new Covid cases daily, and Vesic also cited financial reasons, given that, according to her, the organization of EuroPride in Belgrade will cost 40 million euros.
