Mystery in Nis: Father and two children poisoned, everyone gets involved in solving the case
Blood and urine samples have been sent according to protocol for toxicological tests to the Institute of Forensic Medicine
34-year-old Nis resident, his three-year-old son and six-year-old daughter were admitted to the Nis University Clinical Center yesterday with a clinical picture that indicated poisoning.
"The father was admitted to the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the Toxicology Ward, while the children had a milder clinical picture and were under observation at the Children's Clinic. All of them were stabilized and discharged today," the Nis hospital announced.
According to protocol, blood and urine samples were sent for toxicological tests to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in order to determine what substance caused the poisoning. The clinical picture indicated atropine poisoning.
All competent authorities are involved in the investigation of this case.
