Mountain, village and monastery in Serbia bear the same name: Three Jabukas for good health
The village of Jabuka (Serbian for "apple") on the slopes of the mountain of the same name has a lot to offer to tourists
The village of Jabuka is located on the border between Serbia and Montenegro, near a crossing that travelers often use on their way to vacation.
Although in winter this place gets more tourists than in summer, even when there is no snow you can rest and enjoy nature.
Jabuka is in the Zlatibor District, and the nearest town is Prijepolje, only 15 kilometers away.
The Jabuka Mountain, on whose slopes the village is located, makes it attractive for tourists, and thanks to the harsh climate during the winter, a large number of winter sports enthusiasts and beginner skiers making their first steps on the snow come here.
In summer, it seems, Jabuka is even more enjoyable. When the natural beauty "bursts out" in full glory, you can "recharge batteries" here better than on the seaside.
Lush greenery, hiking trails, delicious food and friendly hosts are just some of the reasons why you should visit Jabuka when the temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
In addition to the Jabuka monastery, the village also has a tourist settlement called "Bosko Buha," named after the WW2-era teenager who was a member of the Partisan resistance and a national hero.
