Saudi Arabia approves import of meat and milk from Serbia
The value of the trade exchange between the two countries is constantly rising
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has approved import of beef, milk and dairy products from Serbia, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has confirmed.
At a recent meeting with representatives of this authority, Serbian Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic was informed that our country had been placed on the list of approved food exporters to Saudi Arabia, and the latest decision of the Saudi Food and Drug Administration formally confirmed this.
Thus after more than 40 years Serbian milk and dairy products will be exported to that country, while Serbia already exports fruit and vegetables to Saudi Arabia without restrictions.
The possibility of placing Serbian food products on this lucrative market is considered an excellent opportunity for our producers, especially when food prices are reaching record levels.
The value of the trade exchange between the two countries is constantly rising, last year it was nine million dollars, and in the first six months of this year it reached six million.
