Because of huge traffic jams at the Rance border crossing in Montenegro yesterday, the average travel time from Pljevlja to Prijepolje and back lasted about six to seven hours, so those who had to decide to take that route had to arm themselves with patience.

The Automobile Association of Montenegro (AMSCG) informs that there are big traffic jams at all border crossings in Montenegro, where the number of vehicles and the frequency of traffic have been increased to the maximum during the two previous days. There are big crowds at all toll booths near the Sozina tunnel and on the highway, writes pvportal.me.

Specifically, drivers return from the toll booths to the highway, and the police also redirect them to the highway through Platije because of heavy traffic.

There are also big crowds on the roads towards border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the new Risan-Grahovo road.

Because of long lines of vehicles that have formed, drivers thought there had beeen an accident, but it was actually a traffic jam.

The large number of cars means they are rerouted not only through Platije, but also on the approaches to Sozina, vehicles are directed towards old road leading to Petrovac via Pastrovacka Gora, and even there there has been a high frequency of traffic these days.

AMSCG appeals on drivers to drive carefully and obey traffic rules, as well as to avoid traveling during the hottest part of the day.
