Movie-like police action in Belgrade: Traffic stopped, young men detained, questioning on a tram

Four patrol vehicles were at the scene, traffic in the direction of Kumodraz was stopped

Last night, just after 8 pm, a movie-likje scene unfolded in Belgrade's Vozdovac when two young men were taken into custody.

First, traffic was stopped in a part of Vozdovac. It was not possible to pass through Trise Kaclerovica Street, which is why a bus on line 18 stopped not far from the entrance to Vojvode Stepe Street, just above the roundabout in Vozdovac.

In front of the bus happened to be a tram on line 14, which connects Ustanicka Street and Banjica, that was used to stopped traffic from the direction of Banjica.

Then four police patrol vehicles appeared, from which the officers emerged carrying batons. At that point, traffic was was "officially" stopped in the direction of Kumodraz, and after a few minutes, Vojvode Stepe Street was opened.

In those few minutes, a movie-like scene unfolded before the eyes of the passengers when two young men were taken into custody. Some of the Interior Ministry (MUP) members entered the tram whose passengers from one side of the vehicle were left inside during the questioning.

We addressed the MUP with questions about this case, but have so far not received any information.
