Police officers detained two men who, using a hand-made camera, filmed naked children near Rovinj, the police in Istria have announced.

The Rovinj police conducted a criminal investigation into two German citizens aged 48 and 79 on suspicion that they committed the crime of exploiting children for pornography.

"On Saturday, July 23, guests in a camp in the Rovinj area noticed suspicious behavior of two men and immediately informed security guards who called the police. Police officers arrested the two men on suspicion that they were filming nude children near a swimming pool and on a floating water park, and based on the order of the competent court, they searched the vehicle and the mobile home where the German citizens were staying," the police in Istria said, reports Jutarnji List.

They added that during the search, police officers found and confiscated a hand-made recording device, a laptop, a camera, an MP3 player, four mobile phones, seven USB sticks and other items.

As seen in the photos released by the police, the suspects hid the camera in a beach cooler.
