What a SAJ divers' operation looks like: The most elite unit quietly approaches and arrests suspects in water
"They have demonstrated that they can do just as well in water with very low visibility," said Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin
Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin attended today a regular training session of divers of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) carried out on Lake Zavoj. After a demonstration of training of anti-sabotage reconnaissance of persons and objects and undetected approach and arrest of persons on a vessel, Vulin stressed that SAJ divers once again demonstrated an enviable level of training and readiness to respond to any task and challenge.
"SAJ divers once again demonstrated an enviable level of training, readiness and ability to respond to any security challenge. Just as the members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit do exceptionally well both in day and night conditions and in the air, they have shown that they can do as well in the water with very low visibility," Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin said.
"Thanks to the great support and help we have from President Vucic, today we have the opportunity to provide the most modern equipment and the best and highest quality training for our most elite units. SAJ divers will soon receive state-of-the-art diving equipment that will help them perform their tasks even more efficiently and successfully in waters with very low visibility. The unit is one of the pillars of preserving security and stability of the state, and I am extremely grateful to all its members for being ready to protect their state and citizens at all times," said Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin.
SAJ divers also demonstrated the "frog" diving system on Lake Zavoj, which is characterized by a closed breathing circuit that enables undetected approach to a location.
