Srbijagas has announced that the price of natural gas on the free market has risen by 12 percent since July 1, and that it will be nine percent more expensive for end customers, who have the right to public supply, starting on August 1.

A post published by the Srbijagas website states that as of August 1, the price of gas for public suppliers will be 28.94 dinars per cubic meter.

It is stressed that the percentages and increases are calculated based on the prices applied in June, and "refer to the energy item tariff."

Srbijagas said that the approval for the prices was obtained from the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia.
