Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Pristina Albin Kurti told an Albanian broadcaster that he will not allow "another Serb republic in Kosovo, similar to the one that exists in Bosnia and Herzegovina."

"I am not against Serbs, but Serbia is against us and I cannot allow another Serb republic in Kosovo similar to the one they have in Bosnia because there too they started uniting municipalities with Serb majority in the direction of creating an autonomous entity, which sabotages the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Kurti said, as reported by Koha Ditore.

He said that he believes that there is a "similar goal in Kosovo" and added that the leaders in Serbia tried to create a land swap project a few years ago.

Kurti said that he cannot say that the project is dead, but claims that it failed as an idea.

"The same people who tried to partition Kosovo in the name of territorial exchange are those who persistently seek the community of municipalities with a Serb majority, which is unacceptable to us," said Kurti.

Kurti reiterated his opposition to the Open Balkan initiative and accused Serbia of trying to destabilize the Balkans.
