Broken trees and torn cables are just a part of the aftermath this morning in Kikinda, after a strong storm hit the town last night, with thunder and showers, amiradio.rs reports.

These photos were taken in Svetosavska and Jovana Jovanovica Zmaja streets.

Broken trees and torn cables blocked a part of the road, making traffic difficult. Tiles flew from some houses and roofs. According to the data of the Meteorological Station in Kikinda, more than 28 liters of rain per square meter fell last night in that town.

The locals say that an even worse storm happened six years ago, but that last night felt like apocalyptic scenes from movies.

The storm was "clearing" everything in its path.

Parts of Zitiste and Ravni Topolovac were left without electricity.
