President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia will not introduce a state of emergency because of energy and security situation.

"Concern is associated with responsibility. If you don't worry, it may be nicer and easier, but you won't get the best results. We will have countless problems, everyone will have them. Hungary imposed a state of emergency today over energy and security situation. We should not introduce a state of emergency, but we must work," Vucic told TV Pink.

Vucic stressed that we do not have an imbalance between the needs of people and what we have in warehouses.

"When the state protects some price, we face great pressure that sellers and businessmen through the Chamber of Commerce, ministries... In essence, the request is for prices to be corrected. They say we should limit the amount people can buy, to no more than 5 or 10 kilograms. We will not do that because we have enough, and it would not be good from the psychological aspect either," said Vucic.

He added that the world and Europe will have the biggest problems with wheat and cooking oil, and that rigorous control will continue in the coming period.

"My message to tycoons who think they can use this situation to blackmail the state and play with it is not to do that, because they will fare much worse than they thought. The state will not allow you to do that in economic terms, of course. We will not allow you to collapse the country in order to gain extra profit," said Vucic.
