Vucic: I will speak about what awaits us tomorrow at 6 pm
Vucic said that Serbia would preserve peace
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated today after a meeting with German Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht that he told her Serbia would preserve peace and stability, and that this is our permanent choice.
"I provided personal and state guarantees that we will behave like that, I did not speak badly about others in the region," said Vucic and added that he believes in Germany's intention to help Serbia's bid to join the European Union.
He thanked the minister for the visit and added that he would talk about what awaits us tomorrow at 6 pm.
Vucic said that he also spoke with Lambrecht about the conflict in Ukraine, and that she subtly conveyed the expectations of Germany and the EU towards Serbia.
He thanked Germany for organizing the meeting with Albin Kurti and for, as he said, the opportunity to talk.
Lambrecht said that Germany supports Serbia's European path.
She added that she is glad that Serbia said that it supports the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"All that is a precondition for the region to develop in a peaceful way," Lambrecht said.
Lambrecht added that Serbia taking a clear position on the war in Ukraine and called it what it is - a war that violates international law was welcomed.
"Serbia did not hide but gave a clear statement and we welcomed that," said the minister.
