Yesterday, on Orthodox Easter, Marko R. (36) from Novi Banovci took his own life after an argument with his wife, using a hand grenade to commit suicide.

"A verbal altercation between the spouses took place in the evening hours. At one point, Marko left the house and went to the shed. He apparently had a hand grenade hidden there. He activated it and lay over it. The unfortunate woman immediately called the police and an ambulance," says our source close to the case.
According to our information, Marko's wife said that there was nothing to indicate that he would kill himself, because he hugged her after they had the argument.
The man's body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
