Vucic to Kurti and Djukanovic: Leave Serbia alone and stop deceiving the public
Serbia will preserve peace and stability, and we are proud of the fact that we want to protect our country on our own
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today told Montenegrin Predsident Milo Djukanovic and Prime Minister of the Provisional Authorities in Pristina Albin Kurti that they have bigger fish to fry, such as crime, corruption and problems with the economy, and should therefore leave Serbia alone.
"In the last six months, the campaign of pinning the blame on Serbia has accelerated, which comes from certain centers of power, but of course also from a part of the region that always sees its success in the failure and destruction of Serbia. Not since yesterday, a more pronounced role in the open hatred towards Serbia has been that of Albin Kurti and Milo Djukanovic," Vucic underlined in a video statement.
He pointed out that they always use untruths, obvious and clear lies, with the goal of presenting themselves as victims, and Serbia as a vicious aggressor who threatens them in every way.
Thus, he said, they took the opportunity to use our legal, legitimate, completely regular and transparent purchase of the Chinese FK-3 system, which serves for air defense, a defensive weapon, to tell the whole world that Serbia is an ally of China and Russia.
"They are trying to portray us as someone who threatens the peace in the region, even though we are surrounded by NATO territories. They can't even say how we endanger them with defensive weapons," the president of Serbia stated.
Vucic explained that the system serves to destroy cruise missiles launched by enemy aircraft that would violate the airspace of Serbia, and asked how Belgrade endangers Pristina and Podgorica with it.
"Let me make a joke, it would be better for us to buy products that repel flies and mosquitoes, because it's far more important to protect ourselves those than from any serious air force that they have," said Vucic.
He stressed that the essence is in the desire to harm Serbia, to make Serbia always be guilty, weak, as they perceived her when they declared Kosovo's independence, or when they showed that Serbia is successful enough not to be wondering what to do in the future, when it was economically ruined 15 or 20 years ago.
"When Kurti says that Serbia is in a panic, because it is afraid that it will be left alone - Serbia today, as a military neutral country, is alone in the entire wider region," said Vucic.
He added that one can see lions, elephants and tigers in the circus, but never lone wolves.
"We in the Balkans have plenty of these magnificent animals and I would always accept the role of a lone wolf, rather than a hyena, shameless and immoral, no matter how many of them there are, three, five, six, and sometimes 19. Even worse than the hyenas, whose thirst for blood you have to respect, are the flies flying around them and waiting for them to bring their prey, and that's what Kurti and Djukanovic are like," he explained.
Vucic's message to the pair is that they have much bigger fish to fry, such as crime, corruption and many economic problems.
He stressed that Serbia will preserve peace and stability.
"Leave Serbia alone, stop lying, deceiving the public. Serbia will find her path that the citizens want. We are proud of the fact that we want to protect our country ourselves, not by NATO on our behalf. We are different in that way, and we are not ashamed of that," he concluded.
