The President of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia, Rasim Lajic, was injured in a car accident that happened on Sunday, when the President of the Executive Board of that party, Branko Gogic, who was driving the car, was killed.

The Aleksinac Basic Public Prosecutor's Office previously announced that the traffic accident occurred at around 8:50 am on the Belgrade-Nis highway near Razanj, when a Skoda Superb, where Ljajic was in the passenger seat, drove off the road and broke through a protective fence, landing on its roof.

It is stated that Deputy Public Prosecutor Janko Dinic, after the investigation, determined that the vehicle was most likely driven by the director of the company Emisiona Tehnika i Veze Branko Gogic, who was pronounced dead on the spot, while Ljajic suffered serious bodily injuries.
