Serbian citizens in Great Britain will be able to vote in Serbian elections, after all

Previously, the voting of Serbian citizens was called into question because the British authorities did not issue a visa to the chairman of the polling station committee, who was supposed to travel to London with election materials and open a polling station at the Serbian embassy.

The United Kingdom has issued a visa to the chairman of the polling committee for the polling station that will be opened at the Serbian embassy in London today, so he will be able to travel to that country and thus Serbian citizens who live in the UK will be able to vote in the parliamentary, presidential and local elections in Serbia that will be held on April 3, it has been confirmed for Tanjug.

Previously, the voting of Serbian citizens was called into question because the British authorities did not issue a visa to the chairman of the polling station committee, who was supposed to travel to London with election materials and open a polling station at the Serbian embassy, the daily Novosti reported.

Novosti wrote earlier that the British did not give their consent for the opening of the polling station in time during the last election cycle in Serbia, either, so Serbian citizens in that country were unable to enjoy their right to vote.
