Serbian basketball player Aleksandar Zecevic, who plays for Kharkov, is experiencing a real drama as the war in Ukraine started after Russia's military invasion of this country.

He shared a photo on Instagram which shows a road and several cars in front of him.

"Trying to get out of this country," Zecevic posted, along with two prayer hands emojis.

Zecevic was born in Futog, Serbia, and during his career he played in a US college, and then in Slovakia and finally in Ukraine.

A few days ago, the basketballer was convinced that the situation would calm down, but unfortunately that did not happen and the Russian military forces started bombing Ukraine before dawn.

"My family wants me to get on the first plane, my father even wanted to come here and pick me up, to literally come to the town and take me home, but together with the embassy and my agent and my club we are trying to calm down the situation at home and in the family, that everything will be okay," Zecevic told RTS recently, but after the Russian invasion started, he decided to leave Ukraine alone and get out of a war zone.
