Serbia is in trouble, said President Aleksandar Vucic, speaking from Monaco, and commenting on the jump in the price of oil and gas after Vladimir Putin's speech on the recognition of the two provinces.

He also replied when asked what Medvedev's announcement that Europeans will be paying 2,000 euros for gas means to us.

"That is not sustainable... We will try to make sure our citizens have no worries. We have a contract for a better price, but what will happen next ... We will try to do everything to make sure the crisis is less severe than in other countries. And $2,000 for gas would for us be an absolutely unsustainable price. I hope for a better agreement, because I don't know who in Europe could withstand that," Vucic said.
