Medjuvrsje is located at the exit from the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge, on the Zapadna Morava River.

The largest artificial lake on the river, which has as many as 85 tributaries, was created by building a concrete dam for a mini-hydroelectric power plant.

The area of the lake is forested and hilly, and the meanders it forms between Ovcar and Kablar look like a fairy-tale scene.

Sport fishing and weekend tourism are developed on the lake. The one-day Ovcar-Kablar regatta has been held for the last 17 year, in the third week of July, which additionally promotes the tourist potential of this part of Serbia.

It is interesting that participants in the Ovcar-Kablar regatta sail upstream.

In the vicinity of the lake are the monasteries Blagovestenje, Vavedenje, Vaznesenje, Preobrazenje, Sretenje, Sveta Trojica, Ilinje, Jovanje, Uspenje and Nikolje. This part of the country is known as "Mt. Athos in Serbia".

Nearby is Ovcar Spa, known for its thermo-mineral springs and long tradition of spa treatments.
