There has been silence and sadness since last night in Donja Ljubovidja, near Ljubovija, when the news came that R.DJ., a 15-year-old, had died in a car accident.

The boy was killed while he was returning home from school. He got off the bus and started to cross the street, when he was mowed down by a car driven by a priest from Donja Orovica, S.J. (27), who was coming from the opposite direction.

"The bus stopped by the road to let a few passengers off, although there is no bus stop at that place. The boy was the first to go behind the bus in order to cross the street and was hit by a car at that moment. He died on the spot from a horrible blow, while the driver of the car was also injured and is hospitalized in the Loznica hospital," a source has told Telegraf.rs.

The boy lived with his father and mother in the hamlet of Alijin Grm in Donja Ljubovidja.

In the village, people say that the child was exemplary and came from an honest and hard-working family. He attended first grade of the tourist high school in Ljubovija. He was his parent's only child, and lived with his mother, who remarried and has two more children from her first marriage, and his father in the hamlet of Alijin Grm in Donja Ljubovidja.

The police and prosecutors are determining the circumstances of the accident in which yet another young life has been lost. An autopsy and an extraordinary technical inspection of the car that hit the boy have been ordered.
