During the night between Saturday to Sunday, a 36-year-old Canadian who was staying in a hostel in Pula, Croatia, had a traumatic experience after a 22-year-old man detained, abused and robbed him by threatening him with a gun, Glas Istre reports.

Namely, both men stayed in the same hostel, one as a tourist, while the other is only said to be well known to the police from before.

As Glas Istre unofficially learned, the Canadian was asleep and when he woke up in the middle of the night, he saw a man in his room rummaging through his belongings.

When the thief noticed that the Canadian had woken up, he threatened him with a gun, tied him up and, and after taking his mobile phone and credit card, left him there.

The Canadian managed to get out of the hostel and reached the Pula Boulevard looking for help. Visibly traumatized, with his hands tied, almost naked and barefoot, wearing only his underpants and a black T-shirt, he stood at a traffic light next to the Pula post office and pleaded with passers-by to help him.

His hands were tied tightly with telephone wire. A woman on her way to work at around 6:30 am helped the unfortunate foreigner, covered him up, called the police and stayed with him until they arrived.
