The Assembly of the City of Loznica, in a meeting called under urgent procedure, abolished the decision that adopted the Spatial Plan of that city, which envisaged construction of a lithium mine in that area.

46 councilors of the City Assembly voted in favor of repealing the decision, while no one was against.

On Tuesday, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced that Loznica would abolish the spatial plan which envisages construction of a lithium mine.

"I think that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, the Assembly of the City of Loznica will make a decision to cancel the spatial plan that has already been adopted, so we will talk differently to Rio Tinto and everyone else in the future," Vucic said during a Serbian government session.
