New mother who had Covid dies in Kragujevac: "Her lungs were white, situation deteriorated rapidly"

A new mother, A.M. (42) from Kragujevac, has died of Covid at the University Medical Center Kragujevac after she gave birth prematurely. The baby is now stable, Kurir has learned.

This information was also confirmed by Dr. Slobodan Milisavljevic, director of the Kragujevac clinic.
"Pregnant woman A.M. (42), who has been positive for Covid since November 29, was admitted on December 3. Her condition soon worsened, she gave birth by C section on December 5 in the 34th week of pregnancy. Immediately after birth, the baby was placed in an incubator, where it remained for a few days, it is now stable," Dr. Milisavljevic told Kurir.
The mother's condition then deteriorated rapidly.
"The woman had white lungs, coronavirus had completely eaten through them, she was on a ventilator and unfortunately passed away on December 11. She was not vaccinated," said Dr. Milisavljevic.
