Prime Minister Ana Brnabic welcomed on Thursday what she said was a phenomenally negotiated agreement between President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the price of gas.
"We have all been waiting for this day for a long time, the day when President Vucic met with Putin, among other things, regarding the price of gas and the contract. We were anxiously waiting to see how it would go," Brnabic said in the Assembly of Serbia.
The news conveyed by President Vucic was better than anyone could have imagined, she said, bearing in mind that the price of gas in Serbia will remain at $270 in the critical winter months. According to her, the price of gas on the market is now $964, and in some places it exceeds $1,000
"An incredible thing for Serbia," the prime minister said and assessed that it will bring stability to the economy and citizens of Serbia.
She added that this is an indicator of how well Serbia is fighting in the most difficult situations.
