Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic in Sochi tomorrow to discuss "cooperation between the two countries to their mutual benefit."

Dmitry Peskov said that these would be "very important talks with an ally and a friend of Russia," reports Tass.

"Our bilateral relations are of a special nature. They are comprehensive when it comes to cooperation and interaction to mutual benefit, both in trade and the economy, and in institutions, which will certainly be discussed during tomorrow's meeting," said Peskov.

Answering questions from journalists, he said that the price of gas for Serbia could be one of the topics during tomorrow's conversation between the two leaders.

"Mr. Vucic has stated several times that he will raise that issue, so a conversation on that issue can be expected," Peskov stated.

Vucic, who will meet with Putin in Sochi tomorrow, has repeatedly said that he will ask for a lower gas price for Serbia during the talks.

The president of Serbia said today that our country's gas reserves have dropped to 128 million cubic meters and that the price of gas will be one of the most important topics during his meeting with Putin.

He assessed that the price of gas is "of crucial importance for us."
