Will Pfizer vaccine as third dose facilitate travel to EU countries: Senicic gives the answer
The director of the National Association of Travel Agencies of Serbia YUTA answered the dilemma
Some citizens who received two doses of the Sinopharm or Sputnik vaccines hoped that getting Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Moderna vaccines as the third dose would allow them to travel more easily to European Union countries that do not recognize the first two vaccines.
However, the director of the National Association of Travel Agencies of Serbia YUTA said that for now there are no indications that this will be possible.
"For now, there is no information on that topic, but, considering that countries that recognize only vaccines that came from Europe and the US insist that passengers have at least two doses of those vaccines, that means that one dose, given as a booster, for now does not make travel easier," Senicic told Kurir.
"Tourists who have received Sinopharm or Sputnik vaccines will not be able to enter those countries that do not accept them," said Senicic and added that this primarily refers to Sputnik, which is still not accepted by a large number of European Union countries, while the situation is far better with Sinopharm.
