Serbia's energy stability and economy depend on the meeting between Vucic and Putin
If President Vucic manages to get Serbia a more favorable gas price than what others are paying, it will mean that our competitiveness is growing - Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stressed on the occasion of the meeting of the two presidents in Moscow
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that the upcoming meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian President Vladimir Putin is "the most important meeting we will have in the next few months."
Brnabic told Pink TV that "not only continuous energy stability and security, but also the economy depends on that meeting."
"If President Vucic manages to get Serbia a more favorable gas price than what others are paying, it will mean that our competitiveness is growing," said Brnabic.
Speaking about the work of the government, she said that in the report of the European Commission about Serbia's progress for 2020 regarding the fulfilment of conditions from pre-accession negotiations, the field of the rule of law was assessed the most favorably, and that based on that report she expects "at least one cluster" to be opened.
"We have the most positive report on the progress from the European Commission in the last few years," said Brnabic.
The prime minister added that such an assessment was made because for the first time, the Serbian government sent a monthly report on the rule of law to the European delegation and the European Commission in Serbia, so that "no one could say they did not see any special progress."
She said that great progress was made in the previous year in the field of digitization of public administration services, as well as that digitization will continue in the field of healthcare.
