Unseen video from Portugal v. Serbia game: What did Vlahovic and Ronaldo discuss?
The Manchester United ace was enraged after the match, there's no doubt about that...
The media service of the Football Federation of Serbia (FSS) has published never before seen footage from the match against Portugal, from which the Serbian football team emerged as winners and qualified for the World Cup!
We saw the players warm up for the game from another angle, what the fans did in the stands, but certainly the biggest emphasis was on the reaction after the goal scored by Aleksandar Mitrovic in the 90th minute and the celebration that followed.
The head coach, Dragan Stojkovic Piksi, has already admitted that he did not watch the game played in extra time and went to the locker room instead, and during that period it was tough for Nemanja Gudelj as well, who at one point found himself sitting alone on the bench waiting for the end of the game. It was not easy for him, because he was characterized as the culprit who allowed Portugal to score their first and only goal (they lost 1-2).
Piksi returned to the pitch after the last referee's final whistle, and the camera caught him extending his hand to Cristiano Ronaldo and patting him on the stomach. Admittedly, the Manchester United ace could have reesponded with a little more dignity.
He was obviously an enraged and furious person, which was evident during a conversation he had with Dusan Vlahovic as they were leaving the pitch. What they talked about will remain a secret for now...
Shortly afterwards, the camera moved to the locker room where we saw the Serbians celebrate and the now famous pep talk by Piksi, starting with, "Are you right in the head?" You can see what happened behind the scenes in the video at the top of the page.
