A joint training exercise of special operations units of the Serbian and US armies has started at the Peskovi training ground near Pozarevac, eastern Serbia.

The goal of the training is to improve combat readiness and interoperability of special forces and exchange experiences in performing certain segments of special operations, reports Tanjug.

During the three-week training activities, members of special forces of the two countries, with the support of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense, will practice the work of combat groups in performing a vertical maneuver in a counter-terrorism operation carried out in a rural area, first aid and medical evacuation, as well as tactics and combat procedures in the urban environment.

The realization of this and similar exercises with the armed forces of the world's most developed countries confirm the quality of training of special units of the Serbian Army and contribute to the strengthening of military cooperation with partner countries.
