Stepfather suspected of breaking baby's arms and legs held in custody: This wasn't the first attack?

The First Basic Court in Belgrade has ordered Rasid B. from Belgrade detained for up to 30 days. He is suspected of beating a baby of his common law wife on November 4, in a house in the neighborhood of Karaburma.

According to media reports, this is a toddler who is not yet one year old.

The child suffered severe injuries - both his arms and legs have been broken. It is assumed that this is not the first time that the baby has been a victim of violence.

It is suspected that Rasid B. was alone with the boy for some time on Thursday and that, for reasons unknown right now, he beat the baby to the point of fracturing both of his arms and legs, and inflicted numerous other injuries to the child's body, which are believed to have originated earlier.

The mother found the child bloodied and bruised.

For unknown reasons, the baby was transported to the hospital only the following day, the media write.
