Loncar on protest against Kon and Tiodorovic: "Come in front of my home I'm to blame for everything"
"Take it all out on me, but we will go all the way here," said Loncar
Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar assessed the protests in front of the apartments of two members of the Crisis HQ, Predrag Kon and Branislav Tiodorovic, as unprecedented bad behavior and told citizens not to do it anymore, because neither of them is to blame for anything.
"I want to tell all those people who went to the private addresses of doctors Kon and Tiodorovic not to do that anymore, because neither of them is to blame for anything. They are my choice for members of the Crisis HQ and I stand behind every decision or proposal they make. I am the only one who can be guilty. Therefore, do not go in front of their apartments, come in front of mine," Loncar said for Tanjug.
The minister stressed that Kon and Tiodorovic are just doing their job and reiterated that he chose them.
Loncar told everyone, both those who are protesting and those who are not, that he was the first to advocate in favor of Covid passes and added that a meeting will be held today dedicated to breaking the chain of virus transmission in schools and among children.
"I'm the first to advocate in favor of it. I am the responsible party, I am to blame by all those who do not like it, and those who don't, if other things takes precedence over health and the lives of people, that speaks about them," said Loncar.
He added that people who have nothing to do with medicine "talk about the Pavlovic Ointment and medicines for cattle as treatment for coronavirus."
"No one else is to blame, it's me. Take it all out on me, but we will go all the way here," said Loncar and added that there are 17 children today who have Covid in Nis, who are hospitalized, some of them on ventilators and in serious danger.
Loncar stressed that medicine is not demagoguery but that concrete things must be done, and added that he will be in favor of Covid passes, that is, of a safe way of functioning.
During last night's protest in Belgrade against Covid passes, several dozen citizens gathered in front of the building where Dr. Predrag Kon lives and demanded his resignation, because, as they claimed, non-medical measures are being implemented while the number of cases and deaths is growing.
Also, a few evenings ago, several dozen citizens protested in Nis in front of a building where Dr. Branislav Tiodorovic lives.
