Saddest news: Famed goalkeeper Dragan Pantelic passes away in Nis as a result of coronavirus

The legendary Serbian and Yugoslav footbal goalkeeper, Dragan Pantelic, died this morning from coronavirus at the University Clinical Center in Nis. He passed away at the age of 69.

According to what Kurir has learned, the famous goalkeeper who spent most of his career playing for Radnicki from Nis, lost the battle of his life this morning at 7:20 am.

His condition suddenly worsened on Tuesday morning, he was connected to a ventilator, but unfortunately did not manage to pull through and passed away this morning.

He started his career in Lesnica, and kept the goal for Graficar, Timok and for the Yugoslav national team. After he finished his career, Pantelic was the president of Radnicki, and he worked as an instructor with the Football Federation of Serbia (FSS).

He was born on December 9, 1951, in Loznica.
