Loncar: Decision made about what will happen to doctors who advise against vaccination
Procedure will be launched against them
Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar said today that going forward, when a doctor tells you that you should not get vaccinated, the Medical Chamber of Serbia will initiate a process for endangering of the public health.
"That means that a doctor could also lose their license. On that occasion, yesterday I had a meeting with the Serbian Medical Association and I will continue that meeting today. That is why a hotline will most likely be launched today that citizens will be able to use to report doctors who advised them not to get vaccinated," said Loncar.
"If a doctor refuses to sign what they advised a patient, those doctors can also be reported," the minister added.
Yesterday, Professor Predrag Sazdanovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, said that the first obstetrician-gynecologist who gets reported because they did not recommend (coronavirus) vaccination which led to illness with a fatal outcome, will be a lesson to all other doctors what not to do.
"Yes, the virus exists, many still deny that it exists. If it's not clear now, when will it ever be. Yes, the virus kills, especially people in at-risk groups, such as pregnant women. The third thing, yes, there is a vaccine that protects against most severe forms. Fourth, no, no one died from a Covid vaccine. That does not happen. Let's clear that up," Sazdanovic stressed.
