At any time of the year, Serbia, without a doubt, has something to offer. In order to love and respect our country more, we need to get to know its numerous beauties and sights better. And there are certainly plenty of them.

That is why it is not so easy to decide where to go on a short trip during the fall. Should we start from the north of the country and the phenomenal Lake Palic or decide for the south and get to know its beauties. Central Serbia also has its sights, which should not be missed. And then there is the Danube, eastern and western Serbia, with numerous places that deserve to be learned more about.

There is certainly not a shortage of ideas. So, whatever part of our country you decide to visit in the fall for single day or weekend trips, you will be richer for a new experience.

Topola and Oplenac

It wasn't for nothing that members of the royal Karadjordjevic family chose a hill above Topola to build their summer residence.

Apart from the museum complex in Oplenac, you can visit other sights in the area and enjoy the view of the beauties of Sumadija from the top of the hill. And Arandjelovac, Bukovicka and Selters spas, as well as the Risovaca Cave, are not far away.

Fruska Gora

Apart from enjoying incredible nature of this mountain, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the many Serbian Orthodox monasteries, located on the slopes of Fruska Gora.

A visit to Novi Sad is also a must.

Ovcar-Kablar Gorge

Fans of religious tourism will enjoy this trip. Then they will surely understand why the area of the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge is also known as Serbian, or Little Mt. Athos.

In addition, do not miss amazing landscapes that characterize this part of our country.

Golija Mountain

The list of ideas for fall trips around Serbia does not include mountains, which are quite prominently promoted in terms of tourism - such as Zlatibor, Kopaonik or Tara. But there is one mountain on there, located bout 40 kilometers from the town of Ivanjica.

Mt. Golija will be enjoyed by true nature lovers above all, since it is a mountain that does not see a large number of tourists.

Golubac Fortress

It is also called the Golubac Town Fortress and is a part of the Djerdap National Park, as are a number of other attractions. It consists of three parts and is believed to date back to the 14th century.

Golubac is open for visits, and ticket prices vary depending on which zone you wish to visit first.
